Overview of King Olav of Norway's state visit to Edinburgh, 16th and 17th October 1962. From arrival to troop inspection at Holyrood Palace to the Freedom ceremony in Usher Hall - this film features much pageantry. Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip take a main role in the proceedings.
Edinburgh Cine Society was asked at short notice to film the event.
