Description: A compilation reel including footage of the fairground ride called "The Whip", possibly at Green's Amusements at the Carnival in the Gallowgate, Glasgow. The film also shows the marriage of Edward MacMahon to Mary Frances Green, daughter of George Green.

According to John Swallow, fairground historian (Nov. 1987) Green's acquisition of "The Whip" from the USA caused great interest and it was received with considerable excitement wherever it went.

Additional information from Tommy Green, member of the Green family, Feb 2004: Believes the footage of the Whip ride to have been shot at the Carnival showground, Gallowgate Glasgow. Green's secured the UK rights to this US patented fairground ride and they put it on at the 1924 Wembley Exhibition and at amusement grounds in Blackpool and Morecambe. A few of these rides survive today.
