Trawlers unload their catch at Aberdeen harbour and the fish auction gets underway.
Entered in the Scottish Amateur Film Festival, 1960.
Shotlist: Credits (.14) various shots of trawlers in and approaching Aberdeen harbour. Trawler comes alongside quay, ties up and crew begin to unload catch. Shots of baskets of fish being transferred to market shed, by winch and pulley systems (3.01) in shed, fish graded by size and quality, checked for rejects (4.35) crew gut and sort fish (5.06) tally kept of weight (6.06) auction begins. Shot of the auctioneer and buyers surrounded by crew as fish bargains struck.
