Description: Aircraft being paraded through Musselburgh on the back of a trailer. [first German plane to be shot down over Britain in the war, at Lammermuirs] Loading crates of rhubarb onto a trailer; rows and rows of lettuces; earth steaming in the wooden growing containers. All outside plots. [Tom Johnstone visits]

Alex Lowe was keen cinematographer, active in local politics. Family owned market garden business. During war experimented in underground heating to grow early vegetables and it is thought by the family that this was the reason for Tom Johnstone 's (Secretary of State) visit.
