Copy of Dewars Whisky advertisement, c. 1898 incorporated into 16mm print given to donor by Dewars Co. some years ago. Original preserved in MOMA. Note: This is not the same film as another Dewar's Whisky advert at ref. 4414

Here it is..."(0.10) shot of stage set with 'Dewar's Perth Whisky' written on front facade. A man sits enjoying a dram, three Highlanders in full tartan dress step out of tryptych 'picture' background and join him, a painting of Queen Victoria is then lowered and they all salute (drink a toast?). They then step back into picture again (0.41) c/u shot of man pouring a glass of Dewars White Label whisky, commentary: "techniques of film-making constantly change but Dewar's never varies" (0.51)
