[From research notes: The banners being carried are those of the Trade Guilds, i.e Weavers, Hammermen, Tailors, Colonial, Fleshers, Merchants, Ex-Soldiers etc. Pipe and brass bands supply music while the crowds await the arrival of Standard Bearers and followers and to provide music for the march to Market Square.]
