Description: A film showing the production process involved in the making of a book for publication. The book 'POOKIE BELIEVES IN SANTA CLAUS' was processed at the Collins Publishers factory. The film shows the text being typed into a machine ready for the printing press, the printed sheets are then cut and placed into order ready for the binding process.

The top, fore-edge and bottom are trimmed by machine (8.43) books are stacked and then covered (glueing process is shown, back and front boards for casing - all mechanical processes) (10.15) books are stacked and put under pressure to dry for several hours (10.22) a room full female employees visually check each book, then wrap them ready for dispatch.
